Santa's Village Update!

Meeting 5

Administrators,

It is with great excitement and joy that I share this email! We met our designated dollar amount to rent out the Santa's Village park for our event on May 3.  In addition, I have had an overwhelming amount of families registered. Currently, we have over 1,600 people attending! Praise the Lord!

With that said, please read through the following pieces of important information:

Staff Members Attend For FREE!:  We now know that there is enough money collected for staff members to attend our event for free.  If you included staff costs in your original fee totals please deduct that and all I need to know is how many staff (their families are invited too) and people in their family are attending so we can provide them with tickets.  (see "Extended Registration" portion for further info).

Extended Registration:
PLEASE NOTE: CHECKS WILL NOW NEED TO BE WRITTEN OUT TO "NORTHERN ILLINOIS DISTRICT"
By April 1, please email me once again with your final registration totals including the following information:
-How many adults attending
-How many children attending
-How many staff (including their family members)
-Total amount of fees collected (You must collect all fees from your families by April 1)
**Once I receive your totals, I will be mailing the tickets for each registered person from your school for you to distribute to your families** (Be sure to keep the registration forms from your families so you know who is receiving tickets.
WE CANNOT ACCEPT ANY REGISTRATION AFTER APRIL 1.
THIS IS A PRE-PAID EVENT AND TICKETS WILL NOT BE SOLD AT THE PARK.

Collection of fees:
It has been decided that we will run the funds through our Northern Illinois District office.  With that said, any cash you receive will need to be deposited through your school and one check issued to the Northern Illinois District. This check along with all checks written out to Santa's Village from your families will be mailed to my school on April 1:     St. Andrews Lutheran School
                              Attention: Melissa Smith
                              260 North Northwest Hwy
                              Park Ridge, IL 60068
*If you feel that families will want their checks cashed sooner, then feel free to mail me checks now and the remaining received on April 1.  If you have any questions or problems with the collection process, please email me.

Teacher/Administrator/Concordia Student Volunteers Needed:
If you have someone at your school who has a special talent (face painting, storytelling, puppet shows, Jesus time devotions, sports/large motor games, crafts, etc) please let me know if they would be interested in helping for a 30 minute time period by leading an activity in the park.  We want to have the park filled with exciting activities which will encourage learning and hearing about Christ.  Give them my email address and they can contact me regarding details and a variety of ideas.

Ice Cream Social Staff Party: Please tell your staff that after the closing of the event on May 3, at 2:15p.m. we will be hosting a thank you party to our staff and their families attending Santa's Village which will be held at Immanuel Lutheran School: 5 South Van Buren Street, East Dundee IL.  Immanuel is only a few minutes away from Santa's Village and we will be providing ice cream to show appreciation for our Lutheran preschool educators.
